
Viki Steiri is a composer, cellist, pianist and interdisciplinary artist with an interest in experimental electronic music, free improvisation and composition for film, performance, installations, video art and dance. Her first solo LP ‘Βalm’ was released digitally by Alien Jams and on vinyl by Rekem Records in 2024. She is a member of the improvised music/art group Ectopia with Adam Christensen and Jack Brennan, and has collaborated with other artists on releases such as ‘Future Chorus’ with Eleni Ikoniadou (Maenads/Hypermedium, 2023) and ‘sex robot’ with Sidsel Meineche Hansen (self-released, 2019).
Other collaborators include visual artists and filmmakers Monster Chetwynd, Maeve Brennan, Danae Io, Therese Henningsen, Urara Tsuchiya, Zoe Williams, Shezad Dawood, Dorine van Meel, Julio César Palacio, Soya Arakawa, Caspar Leopard, Hannah McKibbin, film collective Sharna Pax; musicians Iggor Cavalera, Laima Leyton, Sofia Jernberg, Saint Abdullah, Javiera Alimari, Gentle Stranger, Dave De Rose, Dario Papavassiliou, Savvas Metaxas, Avel Mismo, Vindicatrix, Tom Wheatley, Design A Wave, A Dead Forest Index, AJ Pain and Zvarna, and dancers Seke Chimutengwende, Petrina Giannakou and Christina Karpouzou.
She co-hosts 'Muddy Bless' on Stegi Radio with Dario Papavassiliou, and in the past has co-hosted a radio show on NTS radio with Chloe Frieda (Alien Jams).
She has performed in festivals and venues for innovative arts, including Cafe OTO, ICA, Hayward Gallery (London), Le Guess Who? (Utrecht), New Museum (New York), KW (Βerlin), Sound Quests (Τorino), Overgaden (Cοpenhagen), Glasgow International, Le Lac (Brussels), La Générale en manufacture (Paris), Fundação Manuel Antonio Da Mota (Porto), Wysing Arts Centre (Ectopia residency and 'life/section' LP release, Cambridge), Borderline Festival, Ametric Festival, Romantso, TV Control Centre, Haus N Athen (Athens). She is based between Athens and London.
